Visit the Boston Museum of African American History
How can you not visit during Black History Month? It's a powerful way to connect with the city’s deep-rooted Black history. Located on Beacon Hill, the museum preserves and shares the stories of free Black communities, abolitionists, and trailblazers who shaped Boston and beyond. Explore exhibits featuring rare artifacts, historical documents, and interactive displays that bring the past to life.

Black Heritage Trail Virtual Guided Tours
The African American History Museum also runs guided tours of important historical sites such as the African Meeting House and Abiel Smith School. Since it's winter the the tour is run virtually online, however you can also visit each of the sites yourself to learn about Boston’s role in the abolitionist movement and the legacy of free Black communities in the 19th century.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo Concert
Experience the legendary South African a cappella group Ladysmith Black Mambazo as they bring their harmonious melodies to Cambridge. Their signature isicathamiya style has made them celebrated cultural ambassadors worldwide. Afro Caribbean Black History Gala & Awards
Join the celebration of the Massachusetts Caribbean American community in Boston. The evening includes a cocktail reception, a program and awards ceremony. The gala awards provide recognition to our Caribbean American people in the State of Massachusetts who have contributed to the development of the Caribbean diaspora community which includes our Caribbean youths.
